Kiekeboe was born from a very relatable moment at the dinner table.
When my children started their first bites, I chose silicone children's tableware (just like many parents). It looked nice and seemed practical. But I soon noticed something that made me feel increasingly uncomfortable: the silicone material absorbed odors from food and dish soap. Sometimes you could even taste it in the next meal. That didn't feel right.
I went looking for an alternative that was safe, durable, and pleasant to use. That’s how I discovered stainless steel. A material that doesn't absorb odors or flavors, lasts a long time, and is free of microplastics. From that moment on, I knew: this is what I was looking for for my own children, and what I want to share with other parents as well.
And so, Kiekeboe was born.
From mother to brand
My name is Lolita, and I am a mother of two young children. From my own experiences at the table, the desire grew to develop products that are not only beautiful, but above all practical, safe, and reliable for daily use.
I believe that mealtimes with your child should feel calm and relaxed. Without worries about materials. Without doubts about safety. Just exploring, tasting, and enjoying together.
Kiekeboe is therefore designed from a parent's perspective.
Why we choose stainless steel
Our products combine high-quality stainless steel with food-safe silicone where needed for grip and ease of use. This combination offers several advantages:
- does not absorb odors or flavors
- contains no microplastics
- is strong and unbreakable
- stays beautiful for a long time
- safe for daily use by young children
- durable and built to last
A conscious choice for today and for the future.
